MacSorley's menu Jan 2010 (unknown, 26.5kb)

Our kitchen produces traditional Scottish dishes with flair using fresh, seasonal, local produce in a 110 year old restored Glasgow public house. A restored mosaic floor from 1899 and flashes of Harris tweed upholstery sit alongside the bold and surreal wallpapers of Timorous Beasties and photography by local snapper Brian Sweeney. Here, award winning masterchef Sam Carswell and the young, enthusiastic front of house staff ply their wares, a menu of three courses to choose from, "slates" of rustic fare and daily specials often coinciding with the days live musical entertainment.

Sam draws upon Scotland's meat larder bring 28 day old Scottish beef, Venison saddle, Orkney Gold Lamb, Stornoway black and white puddings, Haggis, Rabbit, Loch Fyne Oysters, Ham hocks and smoked salmon. Ayrshire potatoes, artisan cheeses and local fresh veg provide fitting accompaniment or standalone rations. Sam also makes his own pickles and piccalillis, breads and corned beefs many of which are served on his range of  real Easdale "slates" where customers can pick and sample their way through some of his fantastic produce.
